VIDEO 7 – THE FIELD AS A HOLOGRAM

Thoughts, feelings and emotions

In the Seventh and last video of this series, Gregg Braden defines a feeling as the union of emotion and thought and that it is the feeling in our hearts that connects us to the Field and opens the door to creative possibilities. He also discovers the secret of prayer on a visit to a monastery in Tibet.

We hope you’ve enjoyed the Gregg Braden Series – The Science of Miracles and look forward to any comments you may have.

Cancerous tumour disappears in 3 mins

In this video, Gregg shares some remarkable video footage showing the healing of a 3 inch diameter bladder cancer inside the body of a woman which by western medical standards had been diagnosed inoperable. In this footage, we can watch on the television screen as this cancerous tumour disappears in less than 3 minutes real time, using the feeling modality of prayer.

SELF ACCEPTANCE

Accept yourself as you are right now

Although you are a spiritual being with infinite potentiality, you can manifest in your life only that much of the infinite you can accept in your own consciousness. In other words, your experiences in life will always be consistent with what you believe to be true about yourself, including your ability and worthiness to live the life of your dreams.

Who you are and what you do is not the same

One of the most important insights you can have is the understanding that who you are and what you do is not the same. For many people, this is a difficult distinction to make. For example, how do you feel when you say to yourself “I know that who I am is spiritually perfect”? If you are like most people, the little voice in your head immediately reminds you of all the things you have done which suggest that you are everything but perfect! However, who you are at the being level is completely separate from what you do. You are a human being, not a human doing.

What you do (behaviour) is changing all the time. Who you are (a spiritual being created in the image and likeness of our Creator) is eternal and changeless. The missing link in many self-image teachings is that you don’t change your self image by rejecting who you are, but by discovering who you are. And who you are is already spiritually whole, complete and perfect.

Self-acceptance is simply an agreement with yourself to accept yourself as you are right now. Accepting yourself unconditionally does not mean you have to approve of everything about yourself or that you are indifferent to change or improvement. It simply means you recognise the need for further work. Each of us is doing the best we can based on our current level of awareness. We are here in physical form to evolve and grow and as we raise our level of consciousness, our behaviour will change automatically.

Exercise 1

All the love, wellbeing and abundance of the universe is present right where you are and eagerly waiting to flow to and through you if you will remove the ‘mental’ obstructions.

Stand up, stretch your arms open wide and say with gratitude and joy:

  • I am open and receptive to all the abundance in the Universe.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Exercise 2

The Power of Affirmations

You will be amazed at the improvements you can make in selected areas of your life when you bring some conscious control to your thoughts and words. Your subconscious mind responds to feeling and emotion and so it is important to choose affirmations that create a sense of excitement, happiness and joy.

And remember, for every action in life, there is an equal and opposite reaction. So when you begin your affirmations it is quite normal for feelings of scepticism and discomfort to arise. Just continue with your affirmations regardless. Additionally, many people have found inserting the word ‘choose’ in the affirmation can make it feel more convincing and believable. For example, “I love and accept myself exactly as I am” becomes “I choose to love and accept myself exactly as I am.”

Mirror work

Another very powerful idea is to look into a mirror when you say your affirmations. Mirrors reflect our true feelings. Unfortunately most people who look in a mirror will think or say something negative about themselves as a result of years of negative conditioning. Although you may find mirror work uncomfortable at first, stick with it and before long your affirmations will feel and become true for you.

You become what you desire to be, by affirming who you already are

Self Acceptance affirmations

You may wish to begin this exercise by looking yourself in the eye and saying aloud the classic affirmation:

  • Every day, in every way, I am becoming better and better.

Some additional affirmations are suggested below. Select 3 or 4 that really resonate with you and repeat them with excitement and joy. Alternatively, create your own powerful affirmations and, if you wish, share them through this blog.

  • I am whole, complete and perfect.
  • I am worthy and deserving of everything I desire
  • I choose to feel good about myself in all situations
  • I am loved and accepted by others exactly as I am
  • I am infinite being
  • I am divinely protected and guided.
  • I am fit, healthy and attractive
  • I forgive myself and others
  • I love and respect myself at all times
  • I love myself and others unconditionally
  • I love and accept myself exactly as I am.
  • I am human in expression, divine in creation and limitless in potentiality.

Exercise 3

Experience the flow

Our ability to sit in silence does not come easily. We are prolific doers and there can be a sense of frustration or guilt if we are not doing something. This is because we have been conditioned to believe solutions lie outside of ourselves. But everything we experience in life is the manifestation of where we are in consciousness.

Sitting quietly and feeling the universe flow through you is a deep and rewarding experience. It takes you from reading about your spiritual nature to experiencing it. Indeed any practice which seeks to quieten the thinking mind is to be encouraged. See the post Silence

In this exercise, find a place where you will not be disturbed and where you can sit quietly and comfortably. I sit in a comfortable chair, feet on the floor, back straight with my hands resting in my lap, palms upwards. Close your eyes … and focus your attention within. Let go of any thoughts about your day and bring your attention to the present moment … Focus your attention on your breathing … Take a few deep breaths in, hold for a few seconds and exhale fully …. Notice that with each incoming and outgoing breath you feel more and more relaxed.

As you sit quietly, imagine that all the love, wellbeing and abundance in the universe is flowing into you with every in breath … and radiating out from you with every out breath. As you continue to hold this image in your consciousness and practice this exercise daily, you will find that your feeling of Oneness and connection to everyone and everything will increase.

How long should you do this exercise?

There is no ‘right’ time but as the name of this challenge implies, you should spend at least 15 minutes completing all the exercises. You may find you enjoy the experiences so much that you want to spend longer than 15 minutes a day – if so, it will be time well spent.

15 MINUTES A DAY CHALLENGE

Introduction

If you are like most people your life is very busy. However, if you are willing to give yourself the gift of just 15 minutes a day – and YOU are certainly WORTH it – you will be amazed at the improvements you can make in virtually every area of your life.

The 15 minute challenge is based on the principle that success or failure in life is seldom the result of a single extraordinary event, but rather the discipline of small, consistent, daily actions. Although it is possible for everyone to put aside just find 15 minutes a day to commit to this challenge, not everybody will because what is easy to do is also easy not to do. So the starting point is to find your reason Why. When your Why is BIG enough, you will develop the discipline to follow through. Read the post Live your life on purpose

The flow of the universe

The universe is like a river which keeps flowing. We can sit by a river and enjoy it or we can jump in and drown. Whichever we choose, the river keeps flowing because it is impersonal. And so it is with the universe. The universe is a ‘river of life’ that flows in accordance with universal laws (see Appearances lie) and based on our understanding of these laws, we either flow with the river or against it. It is our responsibility to understand these laws and flow in harmony with them.
We may go to the river of life with a thimble, a barrel or a pipeline depending on where we are in consciousness. If we believe in lack and limitation we will go to the river with a thimble. We may even resent those who go with a pipeline, but the lack or limitation is only in our mind.

Is your dimmer switch turned up or down?

The following analogy may assist. Imagine you have a dimmer switch on your dining room light. If the dimmer switch is turned up, the power flowing through the bulb increases and you get more light. If the dimmer is turned down, the power flowing through the bulb reduces and you get less light. In both caseS, the full power is always present. A turned down dimmer is like a consciousness of lack and restricts the flow of wellbeing and abundance into your life. A turned up dimmer is a consciousness that works in harmony with universal laws and allows the unobstructed flow of wellbeing and abundance into your life.

You are already whole

If you have understood the core message of the 17 posts in the acronym magnetic lifestyle you will know that living your ideal life is not a matter of ‘adding’ to your resources from outside of yourself, but ‘awakening’ to your resources already within. The most important understanding you can have is that you are a spiritual being and spirit is wholeness. See Guide to who you are This means the abundance of the universe or everything you desire is already here, but you will only experience it to the degree you truly believe it and allow it to flow freely into your life. See Everything is already here

Affirming the Truth

Every thought we think and every word we speak is an affirmation which our subconscious mind takes literally to create our life experiences. It is important therefore that our thoughts and self-talk reflect the truth of who we really are (a spiritual being created in the image and likeness of our Creator), rather than the erroneous beliefs and opinions of other people. Unfortunately most of our current self-talk and thoughts are negative because of prior conditioning. To understand how our beliefs are formed. See It’s not your fault

As a result, many people approach affirmations from a place of lack and limitation and don’t really believe the words they are affirming. For example, affirming “I am abundant” or “I am healthy” when you are experiencing financial challenges or sickness seems ridiculous and a waste of time. Why would we want to think and talk about conditions (health and abundance) that don’t yet exist? Yet this is precisely what many people do on an ongoing basis. It’s called fear, worry and anxiety!

We are told to “get real” and “face facts” but this is before we understood the creative power of thought. Affirmations are powerful because it is the thoughts we are having in the present moment that lay the foundations for what we will experience in the future. This is because the subconscious mind cannot differentiate between our current reality and what we choose to affirm and will use its creative ability to manifest what we believe to be true.

The process is within/out

In an attempt to make the teaching practical, many teachers of truth encourage you to select a positive statement that articulates what you wish to see manifest in your life and continually affirm it until it becomes established in the subconscious mind to replace the previously held limiting belief. And although this is fundamentally correct, it can be misleading. You don’t need to program the ‘success pattern’ into your subconscious mind, because you are already created in the ‘image and likeness’ of your Creator. Your wholeness is not dependent upon something happening outside of yourself, but an awakening of the divine potential that is always present within you.

You are not just a subconscious mind that reproduces itself. You are a whole person and repeating words or affirmations do not make something true. It is either true or it isn’t. You affirm the words (add firmness to them) because they are true. This is a subtle but important distinction.

Tinted glasses

Whenever we are confronted with difficult challenges in life, there is a desire to go ‘out there’ and set things right. But the first step should always be to see things right. See Appearances lie Right seeing or right thinking is based on truth, and will always be right for you. The following analogy may help.

In our early years we are, metaphorically speaking, provided with a pair of tinted glasses through which we see the world. The tint comprises all the limiting beliefs and opinions of our parents, teachers and others in authority. After a while we don’t even realise we are wearing these glasses and assume that the way we see the world is the way everyone else sees it. If other people see the world differently, we think they are wrong. The problem is everyone is wearing their own pair of tinted glasses and each tint is slightly different based on the limiting beliefs and opinions of their individual peer group. When ever we are wearing our tinted glasses we will always see the world through our conditioned belief system. Until we discover we are wearing these tinted glasses and take them off, we cannot see the world differently.

Removing your tinted glasses is like removing a rubber band secured tightly around your finger. As soon as the obstruction is removed, the full flow of the universal life force instantly returns. It is always present, waiting patiently and eagerly to flow through you.

The 15 minutes a day challenge

The 15 minutes a day challenge is designed to help you remove any obstructions to the universal flow. It consists of a few exercises and will focus on a different area in peoples’ lives. Although any 15 minute period is fine, choose a time when you will not be disturbed. Early in the morning is ideal and will set you up nicely for the day.

VIDEO 5 – THE FIVE MODES OF PRAYER

The fifth mode

In this video, Gregg Braden reveals a fifth mode of prayer beyond the traditional 4 modalities of prayer identified by Western researchers.  This fifth mode requires feelings in the heart as if the prayer has already been answered. To illustrate this ‘feeling’ based prayer modality, Gregg shares a fascinating story of how he joined a native American friend in a prayer of rain.
