What a stroke of insight Jill Bolte Taylor shares with us in this amazing video. Jill Bolte Taylor, a brain scientist, shares with us her own account as she witnesses herself having a stroke.

On the morning of December 10, 1996, a blood vessel exploded in the left half of her brain, and during the course of the next 4 hours, she watched her brain completely deteriorate in its ability to process all information. She could not walk, talk, read, write or recall any of her life and essentially became an infant in a woman’s body. But when she woke up in hospital later that afternoon she realized what a tremendous gift this experience could be in terms of how we live our lives, and it motivated her to recover and share her incredible story.
